On my way home from the wedding celebration, I remember everyone on the train was talking about the dress, and I felt so proud to have worked on it. Hartnell worked closely with Elizabeth and continued to design clothes for her for a number of years before his death in 1979

They were a big undertaking (I think they took me two weeks to complete) and seemingly took forever to put the finishing touches on (accessories, etc)

While I researched that that can be done, it shouldnt have been done until well after the tung oil dried, which could have been weeks

I didn't think this dress was very flattering on me
